Adelphi Healthcare Packaging is a trusted global distributor of high-quality primary packaging solutions serving the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries globally. 

As a Logistics Manager, you will support the Head of Supply Chain in ensuring the effective and efficient management of transport and order fulfilment activities. The role will be responsible for overseeing the customer service function and ensuring the seamless flow of products from subcontractors through to the warehouse and ultimately to customers.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving and improving OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance, optimising order processing and fulfilment processes, managing import and export activities, overseeing transport planning and logistics operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective deliveries.

The role

Logistics and Customer Service:

  • Lead and develop the Customer Service team, ensuring high service standards and timely, accurate order fulfilment.
  • Oversee order processing, fulfilment, delivery performance and escalated customer issues.
  • Drive and improve OTIF performance through effective KPIs, reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Manage transport planning, logistics operations, third-party logistics providers and carrier relationships.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, planning, procurement, Sales and Finance teams to optimise stock availability, service and costs.
  • Analyse logistics and service data, identify trends and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, company and industry requirements.

Import and Export

  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, insurance requirements, country restrictions and relevant documentation.
  • Manage carrier relationships, negotiate tariffs and monitor performance against KPIs.
  • Oversee Letters of Credit/Cash Against Documents and maintain relevant Chamber of Commerce relationships.
  • Communicate trade and insurance restrictions to internal stakeholders.

ERP, Data & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate ERP customer, pricing, delivery address, item and transit-time information.
  • Ensure shipping costs, lead times and OTIF data are accurate and efficiently maintained.
  • Provide reporting and insights on OTIF, customer issues and logistics trends.
  • Support S&OP, annual stock checks and wider supply chain improvement initiatives.
  • Processes & Compliance
  • Maintain audit readiness and ensure compliance with company policies, legal and ethical requirements.
  • Own and regularly review processes and procedures in line with the QMS and change controls.
  • Ensure effective communication of order status, customer requirements and potential disruptions across teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field, or relevant qualification such as CILT Level 5/6, APICS CSCP or FIATA.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in logistics, transport, supply chain or distribution, ideally in an international distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing logistics operations, order fulfilment, transportation and import/export activities.
  • Experience working with international suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers and logistics providers.
  • Experience leading, developing and performance-managing teams.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel and/or other data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and ESG within logistics and supply chain is desirable.
