The role
Logistics and Customer Service:
- Lead and develop the Customer Service team, ensuring high service standards and timely, accurate order fulfilment.
- Oversee order processing, fulfilment, delivery performance and escalated customer issues.
- Drive and improve OTIF performance through effective KPIs, reporting and continuous improvement.
- Manage transport planning, logistics operations, third-party logistics providers and carrier relationships.
- Collaborate with warehouse, planning, procurement, Sales and Finance teams to optimise stock availability, service and costs.
- Analyse logistics and service data, identify trends and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, company and industry requirements.
Import and Export
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, insurance requirements, country restrictions and relevant documentation.
- Manage carrier relationships, negotiate tariffs and monitor performance against KPIs.
- Oversee Letters of Credit/Cash Against Documents and maintain relevant Chamber of Commerce relationships.
- Communicate trade and insurance restrictions to internal stakeholders.
ERP, Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate ERP customer, pricing, delivery address, item and transit-time information.
- Ensure shipping costs, lead times and OTIF data are accurate and efficiently maintained.
- Provide reporting and insights on OTIF, customer issues and logistics trends.
- Support S&OP, annual stock checks and wider supply chain improvement initiatives.
- Processes & Compliance
- Maintain audit readiness and ensure compliance with company policies, legal and ethical requirements.
- Own and regularly review processes and procedures in line with the QMS and change controls.
- Ensure effective communication of order status, customer requirements and potential disruptions across teams.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field, or relevant qualification such as CILT Level 5/6, APICS CSCP or FIATA.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in logistics, transport, supply chain or distribution, ideally in an international distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing logistics operations, order fulfilment, transportation and import/export activities.
- Experience working with international suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers and logistics providers.
- Experience leading, developing and performance-managing teams.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel and/or other data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of sustainability and ESG within logistics and supply chain is desirable.
