Adelphi's Bake Off

12 December 2014 | Nick Atkins

All money raised from the Bake off and subsequent cake sale went towards Chestnut Tree House - the only children's hospice in East and West Sussex, which cares for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions.

As with the Great British Bake Off™, this was a fiercely fought competition with some exceptional cakes, but only two could win either prize of Best Tasting or Best Presentation and we were certainly treated to some superb baking.

Last year’s awards for Best Tasting and Best Presentation were won by the Crauford Taylor household (neither of which by Gavin himself it has to be said!) and so in an attempt to put an end to their monopolisation of all the accolades, this year the awards were only on offer to Adelphi staff.

This year's Best Tasting award was won by Cheryl Borland of Adelphi Manufacturing, while our very own Anna-Louise Coughlan won the Best Presentation category.

Thank you to all of those who took part and well done to International Logistics Group who have so far raised over £ 10,000 for Chestnut Tree House.
