This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of our end-to-end international supply chain from procurement through warehousing, customer services, logistics, and import/export compliance, ensuring that we continue to deliver the exceptional service our customers and trusted partners expect worldwide.


This role will directly report to the Managing Director and will collaborate strongly with other key leaders, for the best and highest interests of the employees, stakeholders, community, and those impacted by our business. The role will be full-time onsite at our headquarters in Haywards Heath, UK. International and UK travel will be necessary.

 

The Role


As Head of Supply Chain, you will hold overall responsibility for designing, leading, and optimising Adelphi’s global supply chain strategy. This role requires balancing strategic oversight with hands-on operational management, ensuring our supply chain is resilient, efficient, compliant, and customer-focused. You will act as the key link between suppliers, logistics providers, internal teams, and our global customer base.


As Head of Supply Chain, you will:

  • Lead our end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee procurement of goods, global logistics, and import/export processes.
  • Manage warehouse operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient storage and distribution.
  • Lead our customer service and logistics teams to deliver industry-leading service and order fulfilment.
  • Develop supplier and logistics partner relationships, driving cost savings and performance improvements.
  • Lead and develop a team of direct reports, including a Warehouse Manager, Buyer, and Customer Services & Logistics Manager.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within an international distribution, logistics or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade, customs compliance, and global logistics.
  • Leadership experience, with a track record of developing and motivating teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain software.
  • A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or similar (CIPS, APICS, or CSCP certification desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to driving continuous improvement.
